8.)How do you recall getting along with your family during your childhood? With your parents, siblings, and other relatives? Go though a typical reunion or holiday with your entire family in attendance during your childhood. Have fun going into excruciating detail.
-My family has never been close. I personally have never felt that close family bond like some have. The feeling of knowing that the same blood runs in your veins-that never has been experienced in my family. If anything, we just all pretend to be close and mumble "I love you" through one arm hugs.To explain about my family, it would be easier if you understood who was in my family (also another reason we aren't close, because its a very small group). There are my Grandparents, Joe and Marjorie. They had two kids, Dale (uncle) and Carla (my mom, who was adopted in Colorado because my grandma has a lot of miscarriages). Dale has two kids, Amy and Amanda, both are awful and spoiled and always getting in trouble with the law, especially after Dale and his former wife, Pam, divorced. Then there was my mom, who married my low life father, Curtis. They only had me before the alcohol and drugs divorced them. We don't speak to Curtis or anyone on that side of the family, and everyone else that we know or have known, have died. So there's only a few of us.

During childhood, I lived with my mom, who was a hoarder, alcoholic and a struggling telemarketer. She never cared too much, so I was always at my grandparents, especially for holidays and such. But as she got worse, her custody of me got taken away and was eventually handed over to my grandparents, whom i live with now. But after she went to prison and came back, she wasn't too awful. But she got kicked out of her apartment, and had to come live in the spare bedroom of my grandparents house. It was almost like having another sibling for a while because she was so awful. I was experiencing middle school and trying to grow up, and she was criticizing me and it was all really bad. All we ever seem to do was fight and argue. This never ended, even as she moved out somewhere before my sophmore year, even last Christmas we got in such a bad argument that my grandparents had my boyfriend at the time come and pick me up to go to his house for Christmas while they could have a stern talking to with her. So to answer the question in the most drawn out way I could, the person I never got along with the most was my mother. We still don't, and mayeb that will change on day, but as far as childhood, she was most of mine, and most of it wasn't too fond to look back on.
21. <!--[endif]-->Describe your personality as a child. In what ways has it changed as you’ve gotten older? In what ways has it stayed the same?
-Honestly, as a child, I was really awful. I was annoying and always wanted to be first at everything. Some people call it the 'only child syndrome', due to not having any siblings and not having to share. But I really was annoying and only had a couple of friends. The couple of friends I did have, I was really mean to even. So Shout out to my homies from pre-K, sorry man.
I also really liked television growing up as a kid, some of my favorites including; Barney, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, and Scooby doo and Powerpuff Girls. Also, growing up with my mom, she only had the free channels on TV, so I watched FRIENDS, Seinfield, and Frasier with her. I also liked South Park growing up.
Thank you for sharing your history, Carissa. I'm sorry that it's been rough. You say you were an awful kid, but I just can't see it. You're just so lovely and smart and creative and kind....
